Accessibility of this website

This is not a formal accessibility statement under Czech act 99/2019, which applies to the public sector and has a prescribed form. We are a private company and this is a voluntary summary of what the site does, how we verify it and what we have not verified. We write about accessibility on the blog, so staying quiet about our own site would be odd.
1. What we hold ourselves to
The target is WCAG 2.2 level AA. It is a project rule rather than a marketing line: every new colour is calculated against its background, focus is never removed without a full replacement, and content above the fold never waits for JavaScript.
For the private sector the frame is the European accessibility directive (2019/882), in force since 28 June 2025. It does not apply to every company and certainly not to every website. What applies to you is worth checking, and we are happy to help.
2. What the site does
The whole site can be operated by keyboard and you can always see where you are. Form fields have labels and errors are announced to screen readers, not signalled by colour alone.
Text can be enlarged to twice its size without the layout falling apart. Pages read on a narrow display without horizontal scrolling; tables scroll inside their own frame.
The site has a light and a dark mode and follows the system setting. Motion and reveal effects switch off when the browser asks for reduced motion.
Images have text alternatives and decorative ones are marked as decorative. Headings follow in order and can be used for navigation.
The site loads no third party script and no embedded third party content, so nobody else has a say in its accessibility.
3. How we verify it
By machine, in PageSpeed Insights, which you can run on any page yourself.
By hand: a keyboard pass, a zoom to two hundred per cent and a contrast check against every background the colour sits on.
Automated checks only find part of the problem. They do not replace testing with someone who uses a screen reader daily, and we have not done that yet. It is the one place where this site claims less than it might.
4. What we know is not perfect
The interactive parts, the site measurement and the supplier report, print their results progressively. A screen reader announces that the result appeared, but a longer plugin table has to be walked row by row.
Charts inside articles are described in the text, not in a data table underneath them.
The print layout is simplified and some links are not printed as addresses.
5. If something does not work
Write to info@rovnoukveci.cz and describe what failed and what you were browsing with. We reply within two working days and start immediately on anything that makes the site unusable.
You do not need the technical terms. „I could not submit the form after enlarging the text“ is enough, and it is the most valuable report we can get.
