Events and training calendar
A date without remaining capacity is just a date. Two places left is what makes somebody sign up today rather than sometime.

What makes a calendar usable
Remaining places shown as a number and a bar. A sign up button alone tells nobody whether to hurry, and that uncertainty produces exactly the calls the calendar was meant to remove.
A full date does not disappear. It tells people the course runs regularly and that waiting for the next one makes sense. A vanished date looks like nothing is happening at all.
Signing up is a short form, not registration. An account for the sake of one course is the fastest way to lose half your attendees.
When it makes no sense
When you run dates twice a year. An empty calendar reads worse than one line of text with a date in it.
And when sign ups already live in another system. Then the answer is a connection, not a second list that drifts from the first.
